As I watch the fight against Garcia, Abe seems a newbie in world title fights. Very tentative, just moving forward and didn't throw the 45 (upper cut) although the movement was good. I think He needs a Mexican Trainer or the Penalosa's for the least to improve his boxing skills defensive and offensive-wise.

There's a reason why Roach trash him out, like, not a great potential, that's it, see Roach was right. :( :( :(

Could be a slow learner or Roach didn't see a Pacquiao in him? Whtever the reason was, he needs to pay attention if he wants a piece of Manny's kingdom.

It seems like he drunk too much blend 45 before the Garcia fight. Kaya ayun, dinaga ang dibdib ni Abe. :carnival:

seriously, i think hindi nya magagamit ang upper cut nya, because atras sya ng atras. Even yung jab nya, hindi halos lumalapat sa mukha ni Mickey.

He didn't bring ANYTHING, to be factual!
Looks fishy when the guy doesn't risk anything in the ring (not showing aggressiveness, and not changing his ineffective moves). Hello! who is the freaking challenger? At least show that you are hungry to steal somebody's lunch. Then gets KO'd easily before he gets beaten to a pulp. Then doesn't even complain or pretend that he wants to continue fighting...

Please, don't fool me again!

He was always given a chance, and you still want some more? He had a chance against Luevano, then Lopez and now with this Garcia and the fight was not even close. Let's give others a chance and focus to those guys that have more potential like Nietes, Farenas, Domingo.

Yup, it seems like he's not the challenger by being tentative...

I know you're frustrated man but i think he still can improve and one day snatch a world championship belt... There are world champs whose win-lose record was way far from that of Abe even in age and skills...he just need a great team IMO.

For what was once a good prospect to deteriorate to a punching bag, the problem must be his team of trainers and sparring partners. I heard he was practicing at the Elorde gym for this fight. The Elorde gym no longer has the notable trainers it used to have. I am also curious who he was training under and the quality of sparring he had before the fight. All we heard was that he was preparing hard. That shouldn't be enough. Prepare hard and prepare wisely. The Penalosas' or the ALA gym coaches should have been better choices. But the Elorde gym coaches, when was the last time they won a world title? Abe should be very careful. If he trains with so called old and veteran coaches, their methods might be primitive. He should find coaches that are good with their coaching skills, spends a lot of time studying the moves of his opponents, and one who is open minded, willing to take recommendations even from sources like this forum for example, Philboxing. He should utilize modern methods of physical conditioning like one used by Ariza. I would also like to see a coach use computer graphics and animation to find defects and recommendations for a fight. He must also be open to brain storming sessions with other boxing experts and coaches.
