thomas newman's scent of a woman soundtrack.. best for showing demo reels. :-)

Did you mean, "Por Una Cabeza," tango scene with (blind) Al Pacino and that beautiful lady? Not bad.

no sir.. the main theme. this one:

Thanks for the trailer. "Scent of a Woman," great choice. Like that movie, too. Finally, earned Pacino his well-deserved Oscar, after a few tries. He was outstanding in that scene, "He's not a snitch" speech. Pacino is such a versatile actor. Check out, "The Merchant of Venice," Pacino as, Shylock, the Jewish money lender. He was great there, too.

Take a second look at Spielberg's "Schindler's List," 8th in the list of AFI's Top 100 American movies. The theme music, composed by John Williams and performed on the violin by Itzhak Perlman, aptly fits this heart-wrenching movie. The movie is not for the faint of heart, though. Watch or listen to the theme music. It may re-arrange your best musicians' list.

David Foster is great, too. He is the superstar maker (e.g., Celine Dion, Josh Groban, even Charice - Ahem). Andrew Lloyd Webber (e.g., Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar) probably up there, too. Can't argue with Lennon and/or McCartney, either. For others, Mozart and Beethoven would be in their short list.

I guess if you say, musicians, that would include composers, musical instrument players (e.g., violinists, pianists, guitarists, etc.), vocalists, lyricists, conductors. Then you take it down further as to type of music (classical, rock, folk songs, rap, new age, etc.).

Itzhak, the violinists' violinist. The perfect choice to perform the musical score for this movie. That's why Spielberg is worth hundred$ of million$ (may be even a Billion) while we continue to scrounge for a buck or two a day.
