Ang pagkaka alam ko si Freddie Aguilar naging folk singer sya sa mga Beerhouse bago sumikat ang tagalog song niyang "Anak". Mga kinakanta niya yata noon ay mga english folk and country songs. Mga kanta ni James Taylor, Cat Stevens etc.

kanya-kanyang panahon at kanya-kanyang style lang yan i think. How many Filipinos became known because of YouTube nowadays? Though Freddie has his point, yet nobody can impose it. Kung nag stick ba sina Charice, Arnel at Apl d Ap sa Filipino songs, sisikat ba sila? Apl d Ap though emphasized his being Filipino in some of his raps. Does it made them less Filipino? I think not. Different folks, different strokes.

yes, but do you consider 13 languages worldwide?hardly, philippines alone has more than 13 languages :shock:
