We all remember Max Kellerman, right? The HBO commentator who will eventually replace Larry Merchant and who is a known Pac hater.

Kellerman openly insists that Marquez beat Pacquiao both times.

However, after Manny's destruction of Dela Hoya, Kellerman finally gave Pacquiao his due credit by comparing him to the likes of Henry Armstrong and Roberto Duran. Kellerman also favored Pac to beat Hatton (maybe even Mayweather).

Has Manny changed Kellerman from a hater to a hugger?

He's not a hater, he's just keeping it real, and that's how he saw the 2 fights went down...

Thnx for the link btw!

Finally a believer, it took him awhile. Always liked Kellerman even when he was on ESPN Friday night boxing.

I listen to Kellerman ESPN radio slot everytime I get a chance.
I don't think he hates PAC.
He even ridiculed ODLH for acting like a schoolyard bully choosing to fight PAC instead of Cotto or Margarito.
You need to understand that commentators and announcers are just reading prompts most of the times.
Someone has to play the antagonist role that's why.
The guy is funny and a straightforward type.
He may sound "hambugero" (can I say cocky without the asterisks?)
It is just his style.

it's Pacman time...it's his way of making amends.

btw...do you by any chance know who said this:
"Go for the kill? Oscar won't even feel Manny's punches and if he does, it's like marshmallows being thrown at him". -an utter show of disrespect, right?
I think he's also making amends in his own little way :D

I don't know if he exactly hates Pacman but watching him thru the years he never said anything good about Pacquiao. The first time I saw him mention Pacman was when Pac beat Barrera. While every other critics had put Pacman in the P4P list he said he won't put Pacman until he beats Marquez. (as I remember)

I remember that as well and to me he never really gave Pac the respect that was due to him until now that he defeated de lahoya.

kellerman thought jmm won both times. yes, both fights were that close! lots of boxing 'experts' think the same thing just as plenty of them this manny won both times. that's not hating. that's being objective. you folks need to keep it real. just be glad manny proved a lot of these 'experts' wrong.
