look at the calf muscles of pacman as compared to odlh.
manny generated the power from his lower boady & transmitted & converted to jabs & power punches.
great job by his conditioning coach!!!

I agree with you T/S, but somehow i believe this exercise/training contribute only part on making pacman package....

There are other training he does and what is important here PACMAN keep on eating to bulk him self.... not like ODLH need to reduce weight..... however somehow maybe the condition coach of ODLH did not give importance of having a well conditioned body specially the lower part including calves to make it regardless if he reduce weight or not.

ODLH looked like old Chavez when they met but Oskee did not have the heart of a true Mexican warrior

Err, Chavez quit on his stool too against ODH.
The difference was Chavez had a nasty cut in his tongue and was the older/smaller man.

Pac always had huge cavs.
Pac won because he boxed beautifully.
Pylometrics does not teach that.

plyometrics only gave pacman body ache and he become slower that's why they stop this kind of training...

patiklop tiklop nalang yon.

si chavez, sa rematch nila ni oscar, siya talaga ang umayaw. gusto pa sana ng corner niya.
si oscar may advise talaga ng corner niya na tigil na. pero parang nag-isip pa rin siya sa stool.

plyometrics work of Manny though short as reported was enough to condition his body to execute explosive action. It was a combination of all the things mentioned - heart, strategy, athleticism.

not really sure about that. pac had all the tools he needed without the plyo. incorporated late into pacs development, it could even be arguable whether it helped or disrupted his training.

but employed on a longer more consistent basis, i am sure it can only help. thats why i think NOW is the best time for pac to do plyometrics on a light daily basis first then increasing slowly.

so when the fight approaches and the intense training starts he will no longer be in pain, and the additional explosiveness can then be a factored into the fight plan.

Pylometrics could add power and speed in the process of training.

I thought that the david diaz fight is Manny's best fight of his life but I was so surprised. When I compared the david diaz vs manny and ODLH vs manny's fights, I saw a big difference in speed.

Many thought that david diaz is very slow for manny that is why some do not recognize his accomplishment on david diaz fight.

I believe that ODLH is faster than david diaz and therefore I did not expect manny the same way as he finished david diaz but I believe he will win anyway.

I was so impressed with manny's performance against ODLH, manny was almost untouched. Considering that ODLH has longer reach and height advantage (while against david diaz, manny is taller and has longer reach) how can you imagine that manny connects at will unanswered? That is speed and speed is power. For me Pylometrics has somehow add speed to manny.

PRECISELY!

Calves/legs more to do with punching power than most people think.
They help him unleash his punches from many different positions, and can make any punch
a power punch
