Pacquiao by Split Decision. size won't be much of an issue. if you might recall, in his prime oscar faced another slick southpaw with almost the same physical attributes as pacquiao, then pound for pound #1, Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker, who was around 5'6 or 5'7.

although all three judges scored it for dela hoya by a wide margin, many believe, myself included, that what took place was a highway robbery. it was a close match that could have gone either way, similar to to the Pacquiao-Marquez clashes, and i gave it to whitaker thanks to a late round flash knockdown.

let's also remember that dela hoya had a tendency to fade in the late rounds, which was most apparent in his two fights against shane mosley and in his match versus tito trinidad. manny, on the other hand, usually gets stronger as the fight goes on. i see him rallying towards the end and outworking oscar to take the late rounds and run away the close decision victory.

i hate de la fag but he would win hands down, i dont even think pac could last 5 rounds with a prime trinidad and oscar was winning by a wide margin until he started to coast....

its been a while since I've seen you post. What's your take on the upcoming mega fight?

It's DLH for me, some of you nuthuggers have short memories - has was never the quickest boxer in the world but he was arguably one of the finest technical boxers of the last 10 years. He managed to take FMJ to a fairly close decision (which i thought he lost but only by a couple of rounds, i don't know how one judge gave it to him) when he was just at the end of his prime. If he'd been able to pump his jab like he did to so many oppo's before Manny then Pac wouldn't have got near him. This "prime v prime" would have been the physical mismatch that should of happened, ODLH would have simply been too big with too good-a jab. If FMJ had problems with it (who's almost as big as DLH, problems until DLH got tired) then Manny would have been in a whole world of trouble.

i beg to disagree,nearly all of oscar's opponents were orthodox fighters.. there are only two southpaw fighters i could think off that gave oscar a lot of trouble.. this are hector camacho and pernell sweet pea whitaker,but the heck, both of this fighters are slick and defensive specialists... and oscar won against both via unanimous decision for the welterweight championship,plus this were natural welterweights, compare to manny who is more of a super featherweight....i really think size will matter between a prime delahoya and a prime pacman...

Its a good thing Pacquiao and Delahoya didn't came out of the same era. Had they meet early on, we wont be seeing such a beating Delahoya suffered last Dec. 08...Because Bobby pacquiao will certainly crush delahoya's balls out!

hard to tell bro, if the ref allows hattons roughouse thactics i think he will frustrate packy and win by ko, if packy can walk the ring swarming hatton with punches from all angles getting in and out then packy by late ko or decission, i think this is packys real acid test, hatton is a deadly body puncher and hes in his prime...
