Post subject:  A simple observation on Margarito vs PACMAN.

I do not want comparing boxer a, b and c but to make a simple analysis, I have to.
Margarito is a slow starter (aside from being slow) as observe in his last 3 fights, against Cotto, Mosley and Garcia. Margarito was able to gain his momentum and advantage after round 5 or 6 six against Cotto and Garcia and is trying to catch up against Mosley until he was K.O.

Margarito has a strong chin, but was able to K.O. by Mosley, so, he is still vulnerable. Mosley was able to shake and wobble Cotto but he failed to K.D. Cotto. Cotto gives Margarito a hard time during early part of the fight until Matgarito catch up and T.K.O. Cotto on the latter rounds.

So, Mosley has enough power to K.D. and K.O. Margarito and wobble and shake Cotto. He has the speed and the stamina and can handle their power.

Power: Is PACMAN's power strong enough like Mosley to hurt Margarito? Can PACMAN handle Margarito's power the way PACMAN handle Cotto's punches?
Speed: Is PACMAN quick and fast enough to land power punches on Margarito?
Size: Mosley is taller than PACMAN, can Margarito use his height and reach advantage to avoid PACMAN's punches?
Stamina: Can Margarito catch up and will he be strong enough until latter round to hunt PACMAN?

I pray PACMAN wins. God Bless.

Thanks bro, this is exciting better than waiting for pbf. Another thing that I am thinking is: is Margarito psychologically prepared during his fight against Mosley? Experts said that when he was caught with illegal hand wrap, it affect him psychologically? Will he gain his confidence? Will he be confident enough against PACMAN. I do not think so but falsely confident because of his size advantage which manny falls in the same situation and lost against PACMAN.

Pacquiao putting Cotto out on his feet in two occasions is a testament to Pac's power punching. Yes, Margarito and Mosley was able to hurt Cotto but never put him on his pants. The only thing that lingers in my mind is: "Is Pac tough enough to absorb a punch of strong welterweight who is now fighting at a more comfortable additional weight?".

- Pacquiao obviously is strong enough like Mosley to KO if not to KD Margarito the way he did to Hatton and Cotto.
- Quickness? Do we need to know who's quicker between Mosley and Pac?
- Reach advantage was never an advantage to Margarito as he never uses this. He brawls always, a come forward fighter sneaking for a KO always... Haven't him seen used his Longer Arms, maybe yours?
- Stamina, Pac can fight even until 15 rounds, the question is, would Margarito last 15 rounds in the ring with Pacman?

Prediction, Margarito is a tough guy thus this would go longer as we expected. 11 round TKO or KO by Pacman.

The best thing about this fight is pacman start his work at early stage and margarito start picking up in the middle and its a vanishing point of margos power due to body attack, before he could start his momentum he almost lost 30 percent of his power and mannys consistency from start to finish is a big advantage in this fight.

Mosley wobbled Cotto, but Pacquiao K.D. Cotto and pummeled him..So it goes to show that Pacquiao is a more devastating puncher than Mosley, and Pacquiao did it when Cotto was still strong in round 4 ( THE k.d. in round3 is more of a slip)..Maybe yes or not but Manny can definitely hurt Margarito at welterweight. Nobody knows still if Manny can hurt Margarito at light middleweight. 8)

I agree with you, but, will Margarito change his fighting style and use his reach advantage? Probably during early part of the fight but will eventually go back to his usual style. Remains to be seen.

I agree and this exciting too. Sometimes, I can not understand during the early part of negotiation other people are thinking that this is an easy one for the PACMAN.

the PaCman speed and fast pace of fighting plus the southpaw stance will surely take some time before the Tijuana Tornado can adjust and deliver his deadly blow...

he will pressure and bully the PaCman to pin him on the ropes...where he is strongest

but still speed kills...

the chin of Margarito will be tested on how it will handle the Manila Ice and the killer left of Pacman...

after a toe to toe exchanges

Margarito will be KO'd in 7...

just my own 8)

I hope too. but do you agree that this is an exciting fight. Do you think it will be more competitive than PACMAN vs Cotto?
