Hatton is known for his brutal body shots. Most of his KO's came from body shots.

Manny has been KO'd twice through body shots. And he was hurt by JMM's punch to the body last year.

Is Pacquiao ready for this?

Possible, Only if the Pacman will be caught on the ropes and remain stationary, engage toe to toe which I doubt.

Pacman had improved a lot especially on his lateral movements, he is patient with his shots, measures up the oponnent pretty well (JMM is the exception coz I think Pacman wants to brawl with him since I feel it's personal).

With Pacman's new found skills (boxing skills) He will overcome Hatton's vaunted advantages. The Manila Ice will surely come in handy for the Pacman especially when Hatton charges in forward and lunges with his left. Also, Pacman has honed his right jabs, it is still underated but if you notice it has becaome a very potent weapon. Also his left lead would be a great distraction for Hatton.

In those 2 instances where Pacman fell, it is a fact that it was caused by 1. showboating (torrecampo) 2. dehydration due to weight problems. They have to squeeze him for hours in a sauna to lower his weight then eventually lost his belt because of it (thai fighter. It was acknowledged that he lost his belt even before going in the ring).

Also, Hatton was also fell by a right hand by a fighter (forgot his name) and Just last May 2008 (Lazcano
), In round eight, Hatton was hit by left hook to the chin that wobbled him, and in round ten, Hatton was hurt again by a left hook. It was even controversial because some accused the referee of giving time for hatton to recuperate when he stopped the fight and told the corner to tie the shoe lace of hatton (often a tactic to stall or to buy time). Eevn the american commentators questioned this.

In the Paulie fight he was rocked several times before he imposed himself to a mediocre paulie M.

Can Pacquiao take Hatton's power? This was the same question when Pacquiao fought Diaz and Dela Hoya, my answer? I dont know, Diaz and Dela Hoya didn't land their best punch on Manny and I dont know too whether Hatton can land his power shots when he face Manny on May 2. Lets just chill out and relax, wait and see their fight.

Your question might as well be reversed to Can hatton take Pac's power? And it will be more legitimate to present for an answer coz the PAC already step up in the welter div. and punished ODLH. 8) And it would be worse if we change it to Can ODLH take Hatton's power?

Not if Manny could catch him good first.

Both of them are strong punchers and capable of knocking out each other. Whoever lands last, goes down first. :D

Antonio Margarito is known for his brutal body shots. Most of his KO's came from body shots.

I just hope Ricky Hatton doesn't get caught with plaster of Paris in his handwrap.

I dont think so... but manny is fast enough to avoid ricks power punches.. hope he does...

but Hatton can't also take manny's punches..

hope manny gets a bit more aggresive on this fight that when he sees an opening he finishes him off... unlike in the diaz and de la hoya fights...

manny by 5 round KO!
