I have seen it in his last two fights. He lacks courage. Very tactical and overly cautious. He could have ko d him early if he continued to get closer by applyhng pressure with mike tyson style of weaving in but he did nt continue to apply it in the 9th.

if that style works for him, then it's fine.

he's #5 p4p, won titles in several divisions. isn't he already great?

or are we using Pacquiao as the standard here?

At this point Villoria is better and is improving.

The way his career is going I have no doubt he'll be included in the company of great boxers in Canastosa.

nonito was advised to outpoint Mathebula from the 11th round onwards bec. robert was worried that the fight might have been close.

A great fighter takes some risk and knows what boxing is all about. Today, knockouts and ring dominance with flurries of punches are the interest of the viewers. To be great, one must show true grit and great ending, not to wait for the final bell preserving your points.

Nonito has a good chance of becoming a great fighter if he will fight and beat Gamboa. After Nishioka go for Yuriorkis. He is the ticket to superstardom. This fight will be like Arguello-Pryor in the making. :D :D :D

If only Nonito master Tyson's style of getting inside a tall opponent, he could have taken Mathebula out.

Check Mike Tyson's head movement: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO4MDd23C6M

he's good on this fight but not impressive. he does a good job on cutting the ring against a taller mathebula...

why not impressive?

when he gets close range he just throw one punch or even stop in front of mathebula waiting to throw a counter punch... when he gets close 123 combinations is good enough to end the fight.... he can also go to the body on early rounds and being patient then save his power punches in the middle rounds rather than throwing bigshots all night.

congrats anyway...
