There you go... Manny just gave his official warning to Marquez. I can feel it, it's going to be a short night for Marquez.

If this is a sign that Pacquiao again has that fire in his eyes, then we can count on it, crossing fingers for this prediction.

I think Pac is really irritated with Marquez and wants to put him out for good.

They said that the last time too.
I think he should start planning how to outsmart JMM.
Going for the KO gets him in more trouble ( lunging with the left all night ? ).

Fight JMM from the outside like how he fought Oscar.
Go for the kill when JMM is worn out late in the fight .

According to the video, Roach will take everything from the last three fights and throw it out the window.

I agree, this sounds like a good plan.

I didn't know Pac was gainfully employed as a boxer.

Retire, you mean.

Uppercuts!!
More of it. Marquez has already mastered the art of dodging the straight lefts.
When he gets close, Pacquiao should unleash that stuff but not too wide as he did in round 8 of the 3rd fight.
Compact and crisp, that's the key. Marquez usually ducks under his punches most of the time.

Bobbing and weaving, peek a boo style, as Manny inches his way in is not a bad way to cut off the ring.
Diaz and Katsidis had their moments in closing the gap with Marquez. And more shots to the body to tire the old man out. Because if he doesn't, he'll burn out by overextending, missing so many shots and playing catch up guy all the time.

Are we going to see the "blindingly fast" Pac or even the "typhoon across the Pacific".

Problem is, JMM pounds Pac's body a ton when he gets close.
JMM has shown that he can get jabbed all night and his face lumps up from it ( against Diaz I ).

pacquiao is now talking like casamayor who did more blabbering than actually delivering. I believe this is all about hyping the fight to the max, but with a very disappointing result. Old boxers, specially those who are on the downward trend, used to superhype their fight in hope to boost the PPV. I hope pacquiao really meant what he said.

Well, I just hope that he doesn't go stupid like he did against Bradley and go head-hunting forever again ...

He really should be the counterpuncher, forget about making the fight short ... it did not work in fight 1 and fight 2. Fight 3, it looked like he was dreaming about Sarangani or something while going through the motions.

I think it's a bad strategy for Pacquiao to fight JMM the way he fought Oscar. His style was to potshot and tenderize Oscar in the get go. Avoid that wicked left hook as much as possible. If he does the same thing, he would be constantly moving into JMM's right cross. Part of his strategy for fighting Marquez conservatively last time was banked on the idea that the older man would get tired soon, then, go for the kill later. But that strategy backfired because Pacquiao expended more energy lunging in, running into counters and chasing Marquez around. He was breathing heavily even before he reached round 10.

In order for Manny to conserve his energy, he has to pace himself well and wisely compromise his footwork by bouncing less. If he wants a knockout, assuming he really wants it, he has to fight flatfooted at times, bobbing and weaving, guards intact, until he drives Marquez's back against the ropes. Of course, he would be flicking jabs on his way in or hook with his right to cut Marquez's path. Another thing he has to sacrifice is his posture. Peek a boo suggests that he has to fight smaller than usual, with stonewall defense, so as to cushion the impact of Marquez's uppercuts and bodyshots. These new strategies are risky for sure but he's done everything in the past but nothing effectively works except for the fluke knockdowns. There's no way he will outbox Marquez from a distance. So everything must be calculated. He needs to train hard on his inside fighting and timely clinches. That uppercut on the point of Barrera's chin that sent him down, though ruled a slip by the ref, was a perfect shot. It rolled naturally with his shoulder. He became predictable lately because he was throwing it far from behind. Most importantly, if Manny really wants a short night, he must not flinch in toe to toe exchanges. He stops and covers up whenever Marquez punches along with him.
