Trillanes a fraud and coward,a backdoor negotiator.makasarili.

There's nothing wrong with backdoor negotiations.
It's not an unusual thing on government to government talks.

What's troubling is the statement Sen. Enrile revealed about what Trillanes talked or commented about our country (na di daw kaya protektahan ng Pinas sarili). If he indeed made such comments, he should be put on trial for putting his country down as a senior official. And include whoever sent him.

Enrile has been a fraud, coward and makasarili longer than Trillanes. Both Enrile and Trillanes should be boycotted for re-election.

Enrile was out of line in releasing to the public sensitive information related to national security. worse, he clearly avoided confronting the real issue on the allegations made against him by Trillanes on dividing Camarines Sur into two provinces, that Enrile was a lackey of Arroyo in pushing for this.

First this thread should be transferred to GC as talks are not related to boxing.
Second i suggest to should wait a little bit further before bursting ourselves on trillanes and make things clearer though i am in doubt about this senator who once lead a dreadful mutiny years back..

Here's my opinion:

Trillanes is either stupid or sly. If you are to judge his background (military), and declare him traitor, it doesn't make sense. Playing the art of war is something (I think) he's applying on negotiations with China, and as a result (which he claims) diffuse tensions with China. Remember that ships were lessened to a minimum. However, reading Brady's notes, his tactics is somewhat disturbing because it showed that our country is weak and cannot defend our claim. Surely, Trillanes should implement a better strategy in diffusing tensions, not showing the "weak" card he's portraying. (Still, it is part of the art of war)

DFA on the other hand, keeps on issuing statements that infuriate the Chinese side which is not healthy at all. You've noticed that it is issuing misleading context that our neighbors (like Singapore) support our position. It also wanted to drag the US military, and asks the US gov't to supply us weapons for our Hamilton. US is wise to reject its request because if you look at our military history, it is full of coups and planned military takeover of civilian gov't. In short, military cannot be trusted to handle things itself.

Enrile? Well you should give him a Ph.D on Politics 101. He knows how to blend in with the ruling party, and is the ultimate politico.

Trillanes does not have the experience on how to be a diplomat nor a military tactician. Pnoy is wrong for putting Trillanes on that line. FVR could be a better fit for that IMO.
