“His best opportunity to knock out Marquez was the first fight! That’s a given,” said Andales. “And every fight, Marquez is improving and Pacman declining if we have to graph the performance.”

Andales, a Cebu-born aeronatics engineer in a major US firm, said there should be no surprises on Dec. 8. “Especially now that Manny’s heart is not for boxing anymore.”

Pacquiao's declining performance metric:

  • First fight - 3 knockdowns
  • Second fight - 1 knockdown
  • Third fight - 0 knockdown
  • Fourth fight - ________

l'm not expecting Manny to win this time.
He should have retired after that 'loss' to Bradley ,imo.

Let's face it, Pacquiao is not the same fighter who had spectacular wins against Ricky Hatton, Oscar dela Hoya, Erik Morales, and Miguel Cotto. His last three fights were proof of that (vs. Mosley, Marquez III, Bradley).

I believe he will lose his upcoming fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, if the judges call it properly. He made sure of that by starting his training camp very late. And changing his style will only ensure his loss. Also, I am quite sure he won't be able to muster his old fire back. He just doesn't have it anymore.

It would be best if Pacquiao retires after another bad performance, or a loss, to Marquez. Continuing to fight will only tarnish his hard-earned legacy. An all-too-probable knockout loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. or even Saul Alvarez won't look good in his resume once he winds up his career.

So, boxing fans, just expect the totally expected: "Pacquiao may lose the upcoming fight." I am a big fan of Pacquiao, but it's not so hard to figure out that our idol is not the same fighter who ended the careers of Oscar dela Hoya and Ricky Hatton.

If Pacquiao wins, then great! But it would be best to expect a loss so you, Pacquiao fanatics, won't have a heart attack. My two cents lang po . . .

Stop over analyzing the fight..

This fight will be determined by who wants it more and who is better prepared.

Manny says he wants it more, but comes unprepared.
Marquez says he wants it more and comes prepared.

lol!!! Its marquez who is declining bec. marquez is the one who is losing rounds to pacquiao. In their first fight pacquiao needed 3 knockdowns to salvage a draw. In their second fight pacquiao only needed one kd to win. And in their third fight pacquiao didnt even need a kd to take the win. Marquez can no longer outbox pacquiao like he used to in their first fight. Regardless if the results were debatable the number of rounds that pacquiao took out of the 12 rnds in each fight is steadily rising. I expect a convincing win for pacquiao this dec.8.

Don't worry about Saturday. Marquez is known to dominate top opponents easily ie Juan Diaz, Barrera, Katsidas, etc, but he doesn't "dominate" Manny at all. Last fight is past. All we can do is assume that Manny fights exactly the same way he did on his last fight, which was lackluster. Themedia has done an excellent job hyping up Marquez to bring the odds down to 3-1 (much closer than last the last fight) favoring Manny. On the last fight, these so called "experts" had manny a heavy favorite (i believe 8 to 1) but look at the outcome...Manny won but did he really win in the people's eyes? the only way is to wait and see in 6 days. Go Manny! Manny via late KO/TKO.

manny's lack lustre performances was because of manny himself. Marital turbulence, religious activities during his training, etc. However it appears that these were all eliminated and manny appeared to focus and ready to KO marquez.

if I remember it correctly this is not the first time that the Pacman renounced gambling/womanizing he has done it before in his previous 24/7s. 8)

haha... It would've been a win for Marquez, but once again, he came up short one finger. No matter what he does, Marquez just doesn't have enough to beat Pac in this lifetime. Poor b@st@rd, always close, but never a cigar.
