sorry nonito, despite 4-0 impressive wins, i guess it would be Robert Guerrero
this will make guerrero more of a household name and the drumbeat of mayweather vs. guerrero on cinco de mayo will be louder
the ring magazine is owned by golden boy. guerrero is a gbp fighter. mayweather fights under gbp banner

p4p king vs. 2012 fighter of the year

expect another heartbreak dear pinoy fans who wish donaire to be the FOY :(

Your prediction might be right atornee. Adrien Broner is even ahead on Nonito in Ring's Pound for Pound Ratings.

Pag hindi si Nonito, zero credibility na talaga ang Ring Magazine.

brian viloria had strings of quality wins in the last fights including p4p #9 segura, but not included in the ring ranking
broner was schooled by ponce de leon but placed high in the list
pacquiao was abruptly put down when he was competitive and actually winning the fight. i expect him to drop but not that drastically. maybe at #5 would be accepotable

i just sensed something is fishy now. no surprise if nonito will not be the foy

From the moment Guerrero appeared at #10 in the Ring's P4P list, it's almost a guarantee that there will be a Mayweather-Guerrero clash on Cinco de Mayo.

si broner yan, kasi galing ng achievement nya, from a no lister to number 6 p4p. 'twas a great achievement and its not questionable! the ring is right on the money there. di ba oscar?

Robert Guerrero's UD victory over unbeaten Aydin.. 116-110
And his recent UD victory over "Bum" Berto? 116-112

versus Nonito's 4 victories?
1 SD (grabe, SD tlga toh, sobrang dikit ng laban, Vazquez, the Latino is ahead on points - Ruben Garcia) hahahah! 1KD
1 UD over Mathebula (119-108) 1KD
2 KO over Nishioka and Arce (2 KD each)

TS, pakibasa yung results.. :D :D :D

hmmp... that's not credible.
look at Floydie, he's on a vacation for a long time now
and doesn't gets spectacular win anymore, his rank is still high... WTF!

Ward, Donaire and Martinez should be around the top 3 rankings... Mayweather, Marquez and Pacquiao on the next 3 spots...

No Viloria, but Moreno and Mares entered?
Mayweather won, Pacquiao drops to 2?
Said earlier that if one of them made an IMPRESSIVE WIN (not one of them lose), he will be #1; Mayweather not so active, last fight he faded became #1?
Broner > Pacquiao, Donaire, Wladimir Klitschko?
Then, there comes Guerrero and dropping Vitali Klitschko and retaining Bradley?

Now that I fully realized that The Ring P4P is credible no more... :(

Boxing Writer's Association of America (BWAA) are the one who determines the real Fight of the Year award (Edward J Neil trophy) and the way the scribes show, it would be a clear Donaire award..

Wait, that's the one who gave Pacquiao the FOTD award right? So that will be Donaire FTW!

Ring Magazine is owned by Golden Boy. Golden Boy is a businessman and normally supports boxers within his camp. His pushing Guerrero to the limelight is purely business move to bolster the image of a rather wanting boxer like Guerrero. Expect a high billing bout soon to come featuring Guerrero and a very popular boxer. As the saying goes - boxing is a big business. And Promoters are selling their boxers like any other merchandise.

Problem with Nonits is he was the favorite in all of his wins.
Guerrero was the underdog both times, I believe.
