correct me if I'm wrong, ksi pati mga OFW, dapat rin may CPD units...

:banghead:

After almost 20 years, I went back to PRC yesterday to renew my license...
Sadly, hindi pwede i-renew because I do not have the required CPD credits... :(

I showed to PRC personnel my all my certificates na dalawang binder ang kapal...
Ang sabi, I have to pay them 1,000 for them to evaluate all my certificates and it will take 3-6 months before they will advice how many CPD points will be credited to me..

Saan ang national convention nyo this year danniboi?
May CPD points din if you will join the convention...

2 propesyon ko

law = 36 units ng mandatory continuing legal education
accounting = 120 cpd units

magastos talaga. at least sa law, yung 36 units, makukuha mo ng 4 1/2 days (8 hours per day) sa isang seminar lang. that will be good for 3 years compliance. so one week lang na abala for every 3 years

sa accounting ang petmalu. hindi mo pwedeng kunin lahat ng 120 units sa isang taon lang. dapat distributed ang 120 hrs for 3 years compliance period. so its 40 hours per year. ang national convention is good for 2 1/2 days lang, around 21 units ang pwede ma earned. and nagrorotate sa Luzon, visayas, Mindanao ang venue. last year sa manila.

eto yung rason why we founded a company na maging cpd provider. webinar. nag ok naman yung PRC sa modus operandi ng grupo  . seriously, we want to help our colleagues in the profession. we are planning to offer webinar packages at discounted price for them to earn their cpd units at the comfort of their homes :D

OK ang idea na webinar...this was also discussed by our prof org..
Pero in the end, expenses pa rin sa side ng mga professionals...

Atorni, just in case may topic kau which is beyond your expertise, you can hire me...

you have to submit your credentials - resume, training/seminars attended for the last 5 years, mga events na na organize mo, capacity of your office to conduct these seminars, mga modules na gagamitin. also yung line-up of speakers na kukunin mo. yung qualifications nila etc.

tama si mang jabez

if you are a lecturer, you earn also cpd points. kung new topic nga, you can even have it approved sa prc na double ang cpd points (ex. 3 hour lecture = 6 cpd points)
