exactly brad
...it is so easy to discern that the noise, protestations, eherm "vigilance", of these so-called civic-minded leaders of society, who also happen to be part of the opposition now, are nothing but political weapons

...worse, it may be viewed as hypocrisy at the very least...how can they even vehemently fight for "human rights", when these same coalition virtually turned a blind eye on the state-sponsored killings done in the name of a certain hacienda, for one glaring example. "They" now champion the poor, drug-crazed victims of the ongoing anti-drug war, conveniently skipping over the fact that when "they" were in charge of what was supposed to be a new, fresh start for all Filipinos back in 1986, they failed to improve the plight of ordinary Filipinos, by maintaining the socioeconomic status quo and even strengthened the hold of the upper class on the traditional power structures of the nation--thus leaving no out for majority of the dirt-poor but to scrape a living any way they could, even dealing in shabu for literally chump change...the irony of it all, that even in their death, the masses are still being exploited by these human rights "champions", "libertarians", "advocates"...and any other "title" that sounds good enough to delude the gullible among the masses into stopping to think for themselves and examine the true agendas of these......wolves
.......and the worst case, one cannot help but see the obvious here....that from the start, this group of vested interests, politicians, "advocates", business movers, have been nothing but a hindrance to the admin's efforts against the illegal drug trade.......first they cried human rights, dragging the nation's government thru the mud in front of the whole world, filing cases here and there using their "connections" in international power ecosystems, then abusing our own internal government mechanisms in the legislature to hamper the drug efforts, even using the all-too-willing media all the time to try and drag down the popularity of the admin and even twist stories....and now, they have the supreme gall and temerity to criticize the progress, "failure", whatever they want to label the performance of the government, in its anti-drug war
