Jim Lampley, Roy Jones Jr. Max Kellerman were very emotional in their farewell speeches.

I felt sad too. Thank you HBO for bringing us wonderful years of boxing!

I prefer HBO's build-up shows than Showtime's... Too bad... Hoping to see Lampley and Kellerman moving to Showtime, DAZN or ESPN soon...

sa production value malayo nga ang HBO sa Showtime

.............sayang talaga nag pullout sila from boxing :?

I think their boxing portfolio started its downfall when Al Haymon and Richard Schaefer exercised too much influence within the HBO Sports halls itself.....if I'm not mistaken HBO top exec Kery Davis even acted like their mole inside the company

HBO invested heavily on Game of Thrones.
They have no more money for boxing.

IIRC the events regarding HBO Sports' sorry demise................the moment Al Haymon, with the help of his inside man in HBO Kery Davis, started having too much clout within HBO Sports, the network became a business that catered to Al's interests and not to HBO's

.......and when the dept's bottomline started to look bad, this led to a reduced budget, which led to an even worse bottomline...until a major revamp, and a clean break from Haymon and Schaefer, but by that time Al had already prepared for this, hooking up with Showtime.........
