He will "Fight On" because he is addicted to the adulation of the Pactards and, of course, the money that comes with it.
Freddie is not big on integrity either because he failed to walk his talk. As we all know, he has made public pronouncements that he and Pac has had an agreement about retirement for a while now. But when Pac dropped him in the Matthysse fight (after he suggested that Pac should retire after the Horn match), he felt left out anyway and was moping about it. Now here he is talking the talk again for the Nth time. What he should have done was to walk his talk by publicly standing his ground and refuse to render his services (coaching and access to the Wild Card Gym) in this fight to emphasize the seriousness of his concern for Pac's health. He too is addicted to the adulation, the limelight and, of course, the fat paychecks.
It goes without saying that the rest of his team, his acolytes and the hangers-on/goupies are also addicted to the limelight and the handouts Pac gives them. They would keep telling Pac that he still got it and that he should continue to "Fight On" cuz they don't want the "high" to end.
The Horn fight gave us a glimpse of him getting old; and Roach was right about it. It didn't show that much during the Matthysse and the Broner fights as they didn't exactly push Pac and were in survival mode.
and this fight with thurman is the final confirmation of his showing against horn.seriously, father time is indeed catching up with him. its time for him to finally call it quit before its too late.
